This role falls under Axis Ops, the operations division of AxisKey. Axis Ops oversees the operational engine behind our investment platform, managing investor onboarding, transaction processing, compliance workflows, fund administration, and operational support for private investment offerings.

The Role

We are seeking a Due Diligence Specialist to join Axis Ops as an independent third-party representative supporting private investment offerings across the alternative investment industry.

This is not an Investor Relations or Sales role. Instead, you'll conduct due diligence calls with prospective investors, educating them on AxisKey's role as the independent administrator responsible for the operational, compliance, and administrative infrastructure behind each investment. 

You'll help investors understand our onboarding process, verification procedures, reporting capabilities, operational controls, and fund administration services, providing confidence in the platform while remaining completely neutral regarding the investment itself. 

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in investor relations, fundraising, financial services, or private markets who enjoys educating investors, building trust through professionalism, and simplifying complex operational processes. 

What You’ll Do

Independent Due Diligence

• Conduct due diligence calls with prospective investors. 
• Explain AxisKey's role as the independent third-party administrator throughout the investment lifecycle. 
• Educate investors on operational processes, onboarding requirements, and administrative workflows.
• Provide transparency around investor verification, subscription processing, reporting, and ongoing investor support. 
• Answer operational and administrative questions while remaining neutral regarding the investment opportunity. 
• Direct investment-specific questions to the issuer or Investor Relations team when appropriate. 

Investor Operations

• Educate investors on:
  • Investor onboarding and accreditation verification
  • Subscription processing
  • Escrow administration
  • Capital tracking
  • Distribution processing 
  • Investor reporting and statements
  • Tax document coordination
  • Secure document management
  • Cap table administration
  • Ongoing investor support

Compliance & Operational Support

• Explain AxisKey's compliance oversight and operational controls.
• Communicate documentation, reconciliation, and recordkeeping processes.
• Support investor qualification monitoring and audit readiness.
• Escalate operational or compliance concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation of investor conversations and follow-up actions. 

Internal Collaboration

• Partner closely with Investor Relations, Client Success, Compliance, and Fund Administration teams.
• Help improve investor experience and operational workflows.
• Contribute to internal documentation, process improvements, and operational best practices.

 What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of experience in Investor Relations, fundraising operations, private markets, wealth management, financial services, or another client-facing financial role.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain operational and administrative concepts clearly and professionally.
• Comfortable speaking with accredited investors and high-net-worth individuals.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional presence with the ability to build credibility and trust.
• Excellent documentation, follow-up, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with fund administration or third-party fund services.
• Knowledge of private placements, Regulation D offerings, or alternative investments.
• Experience with investor onboarding and accreditation verification.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and investor databases.
• Understanding of securities compliance and fundraising operations.
• Experience improving operational processes or developing internal documentation.
