:star2:The Role

As our FinOps Assistant, you’ll support core financial operations with a primary focus on investor distributions. You’ll calculate and validate distribution amounts, reconcile financial data, prepare detailed reports, and help ensure that every distribution cycle is completed accurately and on time.

You’ll also manage requests related to distributions, payments, and investor accounts while supporting payment processing and other operational finance activities.

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, highly organized, comfortable working with financial data, and committed to getting every detail right.

:wrench: What You'll Do

Manage Investor Distributions

  • Calculate and validate investor distributions, including prorations and allocation-based adjustments.
  • Review distribution calculations to ensure investors receive the correct amounts.
  • Track investor allocation details and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Support the execution of distribution cycles from calculation through payment.

Reconcile and Report Financial Data

  • Reconcile distribution data across multiple files, reports, and systems.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies before payments are processed.
  • Prepare and maintain distribution reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all financial data sources.
  • Maintain organized records and clear documentation for each distribution cycle.

Support Payments and Account Requests

  • Support payment processing and verify that payment information is complete and accurate.
  • Manage and respond to ticket-based requests related to distributions, payments, and account inquiries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to investigate and resolve payment or distribution issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates regarding financial requests.
  • Escalate complex cases when additional review is required.

Improve Finance Operations

  • Identify recurring discrepancies, inefficiencies, or process gaps.
  • Help improve distribution workflows, controls, and documentation.
  • Support additional finance operations and reporting needs as required

:white_check_mark: What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Approximately 3 years of experience in financial operations, investment operations, fund administration, banking operations, or a related field.
  • Experience calculating or validating investor distributions, interest payments, investment returns, dividends, or similar financial transactions.
  • Ability to review system-generated calculations, identify discrepancies, and validate results.
  • Working knowledge of financial reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of distributions, transactions, and investor records accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical judgment.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working for an investment fund, private equity firm, bank, brokerage, fiduciary, or fintech company.
  • Experience managing investor distribution cycles from validation through payment.
  • Familiarity with side letters, investor-specific terms, bonus payments, or allocation exceptions.
  • Experience working with investment or fund-management systems.
  • Knowledge of investor reporting and payment-processing workflows.
