Job Description:

We are seeking a FinOps Manager to take charge of our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment while maintaining a structured and detail-oriented approach. This cross-functional role requires a strong understanding of operations and finance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to connect seemingly unrelated dots.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash and Invoice Management: Oversee daily cash flows, process invoices, and manage vendor and partner payments with precision and efficiency.
  • Financial Operations: Serve as the central clearinghouse for all departments, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration across functions.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain clear, organized documentation of processes, decisions, and financial operations activities.
  • Payroll and HR Functions: Manage payroll processes and provide support for HR-related tasks as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to align financial operations with the needs of other departments, ensuring smooth integration of operational and financial perspectives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present periodic financial reports, identifying key insights and opportunities for optimization.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Navigate changes in organizational structure and priorities while maintaining focus on key objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, memory, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to understand and connect seemingly unrelated concepts, identifying implications across departments.
  • Understanding of accounting principles (formal accounting background not required).
  • Demonstrated ability to document processes clearly and take comprehensive notes.
  • Experience with payroll and/or HR functions is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and structures.
